Legends of Runeterra vault explained A weekly vault unlocks revealing three chests, the contents of each chest improves as you gain XP throughout the week. There are a total of 13 levels, starting at level one with basic bronze chests and working up to diamond chests. Each time you ascend a rank, your lowest ranking chest will improve and to get to the maximum three diamond chests, you’ll need to earn a total of 25,000 XP in a week. The good news is, once you hit level ten, you’re guaranteed a champion card to add to your list of Legends of Runeterra champions.

You’ll be able to open your Legends of Runeterra vault every Tuesday. So, how do you gain XP to improve the contents of your vault? As well as daily quests that will reward you with XP for successfully completing each one, you’ll also earn XP from PvP matches, starting at 400 for a win and scaling down to 100 for a loss. It’s not much, but it’s an incentive over playing the AI. If you’re struggling with a daily quest, you can use a reroll, similar to Hearthstone’s daily quests, to refresh the challenges.

Legends of Runeterra rewards Legends of Runeterra region rewards work slightly differently. You can earn extra rewards from ranking up your regions. To do this, you’ll need to play certain regions to gain XP for that region to rank up. It’s worth taking some time to think about which Legends of Runeterra region is most favourable before you invest time in playing certain cards from that region. To reach the first level will cost you 250XP and then 250 more than the last rank, eg. 500XP, 750XP, reaching a final eye-watering cost of 52,500XP to reach the final rank 20.
