You can store these either in a cupboard or in the fridge, based on your preference.-If you don’t have any golden syrup at home, you can go ahead and substitute it for the same amount of honey - or even maple syrup. The texture and outcome will be very similar, you’ll just find that the flapjacks have a different kind of sweetness to them.-If you’d like to add some extra flavours and textures to your sweet snacks, there are a number of things you can add into the mixture. Dried fruits such as raisins, cherries, and apricots make for a nice addition, as do chopped nuts or even chocolate chips.-When it comes to serving, you could also drizzle the top of your flapjacks with chocolate. Milk, dark, and white all work well - and can even be poured on before you place the tin in the refrigerator to harden up together.-Alternatively, you can create your very own sundae stack of flapjacks by smearing the top of them with peanut butter, jam, or melted chocolate - and then finish it off with a scoop of vanilla or chocolate ice cream! If you’ve fallen in love with these no-bake recipes, then you might also want to check out our other blogs on how you can make a healthier version of flapjacks, and vegan alternatives too!
