Coconut lorikeet (Trichoglossus haematodus) is a parrot and belongs to the Psittacidae family. This parrot species is native to New Guinea but inhabits eastern Indonesia and the Solomon Islands. They are sometimes mixed up with rainbow lorikeet birds because of their bright plumage that consists of varying colors, like yellow, green, brown.
