While coronavirus has put paid to live plays at the Globe, it hasn’t sucked the energy from that particular enterprise. Telling Tales is a strand of online workshops and storytelling sessions aimed at bringing Shakespeare to a fresh audience. Younger children (3-8) can participate in interactive workshops and watch puppetry shows. Alternatively, book onto a storytelling session (age 5-12) packed with the most memorable scenes from Shakespeare. Workshops for older children (12-18) will dig deeper and “focus on the characters, themes and language in these fabulous, famous plays”. Perfect if you’re studying the Bard, or if you’re just a fan of drama in all its forms. Such stuff as dreams are made of. All sessions take place via Zoom and can be booked online. Unusually, the ticket price varies depending on your ability to pay.
