The best Rytec AMR Warzone class setup depends on what you’re looking for from this bizarre sniper rifle. We’ve got a couple of different setups for you to try when you finally unlock the Rytec AMR, from close-range to extreme distance sniping.
The Rytec AMR is one of the most intriguing Wargone guns we’ve seen so far. It’s a hard-hitting sniper rifle with decent bullet travel time and drop that takes a long time to aim down sights, but it’s also semi-automatic with manageable recoil. In addition to that conundrum, it can also be modded to use either explosive or thermite rounds for extra damage, a bit like the Warzone Crossbow. Figuring out whether to tune this Barrett-like sniper for long distance shootouts or something you can spam shots with is no mean feat, so we’ve done some of the leg work for you and created a build for each extreme.
It’s too early to tell if this will claim a new top spot among our list of the best sniper rifles in Warzone, but it’s DPS potential means it’s promising.
BEST Rytec AMR WARZONE SETUP Here is the best Rytec AMR Warzone setup for close-range:
FTAC 448mm Dictator Tac Laser VLK 3.0x Optic Stippled Grip Tape STOVL Tac-Wrap
If you’re taking this into multiplayer then you should definitely sub Stippled Grip Tape out for Sleight of Hand, but if you’re looking for a medium range monster in Warzone then this should do the trick.
We’ve modded this to trim the aim down sight speed down as much as possible, so everything from the barrel to the scope has been tuned for speed. This does mean you’ll get worse damage drop-off, bullet travel time, and bullet drop. However, at close to medium range the semi-auto rate of fire of the Rytec AMR more than makes up for this, letting you down two enemies with a single mag in just over a second. The aim down sight speed is very fast for a sniper rifle, so as long as you’re not trying to clear out buildings with it then it should still be competitive.
Here is the best Rytec AMR Warzone setup for long-range:
FTAC Seven Straight Tac Laser STOVL Tac-Wrap Stippled Grip Tape 25x59mm Explosive 5-R Mag
There’s not a huge amount of difference between this and the close range build aside from the barrel, explosive rounds and default sniper scope. We still want the faster aim down sight speed, but the FTAC Seven Straight means we’re not losing too much in terms of bullet speed and drop. That’s particularly important when looking at the explosive rounds, as these come with hefty penalties to bullet velocity. The positive of explosive mags is that they deal an absurd amount of damage to vehicles – you can destroy an ATV in two shots, a Tactical Rover in three shots, an SUV in five shots, a chopper in six shots, and the cargo truck in nine shots.
When you consider that you can put five shots out in barely over a second, then with two people on your team carrying this loadout you should be able to destroy most vehicles before the players inside have even realised they’re taking damage. Best of all, Trophy Systems won’t stop these rounds.
